Brisbane’s New Law

My fiance sent me this e-mail and i killed myself laughing

Yet Another New Law:

With the high rate of attacks on women in secluded parking lots, especially during evening hours, the Brisbane  City Council has established a “Women Only” parking lot at the  Westfield  Shopping Centre in  Carindale . Even the parking lot attendants are exclusively female so that a comfortable and safe environment is created for patrons.

Below is the first picture available of this world-first women-only parking lot in  Australia .

INXS, Michael Hutchence

Micheal Hutchence, INXS They come from the land down under. This band, originally known as The Farriss Brothers, consisted of Andrew Farriss, Jon Farriss, Tim Farriss, Garry Beers, Kirk Pengilly and Michael Hutchence. They started out as being a pub band in Australia. After a name change, they became one of the biggest bands of their time. Michael Hutchence was born January 22, 1960 to Kelland and Patricia Hutchence. When he was four years old, his family (which by that time included a younger brother, Rhett, as well as an older half-sister, Tina) moved to Hong Kong, where his father had gotten a job with a large Australian trading company. In 1972, the Hutchence family returned to the Sydney area. It was there, at Killarney Heights High School, that Michael met Andrew Farriss, who became a good friend and recruited him to join a band that he had started with his brothers.

In 1978 The Farriss Brothers spent ten months writing, rehearsing and playing at local pubs in the western part of Australia. In 1979 they returned to Sydney and started playing at least six or seven nights a week in local bars. They also grabbed the attention of Gary Morris who was the manager of Midnight Oil, a popular group during this time. The Farriss Brothers toured with Midnight Oil for a short time, they then dropped Morris as their manager and were signed by Chris Murphy to a top label. During this time the band decided to change their name from The Farriss Brothers to INXS meaning “In excess.” The newly named band made their live debut in September of that year in New South Wales. This first concert started off a long succession of the band and numerous hits. This band sold over 20 million records, played thousands of shows, had numerous hits, MTV Video Awards, British Awards, but all this happened with the same six men that started this band in 1977. Even though lead singer, Michael Hutchence had his depressive moments, no signs were showing in November of 1997. The band was in Australia celebrating their 20th anniversary and just about ready to head off their “Lose Your Head Tour” on November 25.

Hutchence was found hanging in his hotel room. On November 22, 1997 He was only 37 years old. It is suggested that this was a suicide but many do not believe that he was capable of taking his own life. His girlfriend, Paula Yates (now also deceased) stubbornly insisted that he would never have intentionally killed himself and left behind their daughterHeavenly Hiraani Tigerlil. However, a blood analysis revealed that he had cocaine, alcohol and Prozac in his system. Family, friends, band members and fans were in complete shock regarding this news. Hutchence is missed by many and even though INXS still plays shows, they will never be the same. He was a beautiful individual inside and out and could magically transform words into magnificent lyrics.  He was who he was and what he wanted to conquer in life.

In 2001, INXS was inducted into the Australian ARIA Hall of Fame. In total, the band has received three Grammy nominations over their 25 year career.

On September 20, 2005, Canadian singer J.D. Fortune became the band’s new lead vocalist after a twelve-week competition on the CBS reality show Rock Star: INXS.

In Memory Of My Dog Beau

beau en gina 001

My dog Beau past away last year, on the 21st of march. In the evening around 10 o’clock she started to feel sick and we took her outside, it was dark outside end in the light from the streetlights we could see her stomach getting bigger and bigger. I straight away new this was not good and called the animal ambulance, but they said i would be quicker if i would take her to the vet myself. When we arrived at the vet she straight away said it was not looking good, it seems that Beau hat a tumor in the mild and it hat ruptured, she hat blood in her stomach and was in shock. The vet said that she could not operate on her because her heart was beating like crazy, she would not make a chance off getting through the operation. So we had to humanly euthanast her. She died at 10 minutes to 12.

beau

It was a very hard decision to take, she was only 12 years old and we had her for those 12 years, we also have another dog called gina and she is gonna be 17 on the 15th of june and they always have been the best friends. Gina aged a lot since Beau died, she misses her very much, as we all do. I can remember when we brought Beau home, Gina was born in our house so we had her already for 3 years, beau always liked to play with Gina’s ears, so after a while one off Gina’s ears hat lesser hair on it than the other one.

Beau My Sweety

She was a very playful dog, she loved to dig the biggest holes and she was crazy about her tennis ball en running for a thrown stick. She was the best dog you can have and we had so much fun with her, and we are very happy that she was a part of our family for 12 years. We had Beau cremated and we took her home with us, when the time comes and Gina has to leave us they will share the same urn and be together again. I cannot tell how much i miss her and i guess i always will, she was a big part in my live and i am scared for the day that Gina will leave us too, but happy that they will be together for ever
