LIKE father like son?

Bindi_and_ Robert

The four-year-old son of the Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin was not at all alarmed when he was recently bitten by a baby boa constrictor,He picked one of them up and it bit him on the finger, and he was so proud to have copped his first hit.I hope it wasn’t venomous’, he said. His mother Terri assured Robert that she wouldn’t actually let him play with venomous snakes. His nine-year-old sister Bindi was first bitten by a snake when she was 18 months old.

A True Blue Australia Day
26 January 2008

As the sun rose on another perfect day, thousands of proud Australians grabbed their Aussie flag, put on their green and gold’s and headed to Australia Zoo for a true blue Australia Day. January 26, is a day marked proudly in the Australia Zoo calendar and each year it goes off like a frog in a sock! With billy-tea, traditional damper and lamingtons, and performances by local Indigenous dance group, The Gubbi Gubbi, patrons at Australia Zoo were today reminded of what it means to be an Aussie. Though many would agree it’s not a true Australia Day with out a performance by Aussie legend, John Williamson. With flags waving high and proud, thousands of dedicated Australians poured into the Crocoseum to watch John Williamson pay tribute to our great country. The atmosphere was true-blue in the stadium, as John and special guest Warren H Williams performed a selection of inspiring Australian songs. ‘Hey True Blue’ and ‘Wildlife Warriors: It’s Time’ were crowd favourites along with the good-old “unofficial” national anthems, ‘Waltzing Matilda’ and ‘Home Among the Gum Trees’. As the performance came to an end, the crowd rose to join John as he proudly sang the Australian National Anthem.
